Responsibilities of subject teacher

SUBJECT TEACHERS are directly involved in implementation of curriculum. Determine the qualitative implementation of knowledge, skills, attitudes and values to children.

The roles and duties are:-

  1. Prepare yearly, block plan and submit to the academic head and concerned HOD in the beginning of the year.
  2. Work out daily plans and submit to the concerned HOD on Monday and Thursday.
  3. Get acquainted to latest syllabus and inform students of the syllabus in the beginning of the year.
  4. Always come well prepared regularly and collect feedback from the students on quarterly.
  5. Submit relevant documents to the authority or the concerned HOD.
  6. Cover the syllabus on time and plan the revision classes after the completion of syllabus.
  7. Ensure to check the student’s progress and maintain assessment record (both formative and summative).
  8. Plan and execute remedial classes targeted for low achievers.
  9. Plan for extra classes as per the student’s convenience and inform school authority and concerned parents.
  10. Rectify student’s work before it is displayed in the class.(such as grammar and spelling)
  11. Prepare question paper, blueprint and model answer.
  12. Expected to impart recent, updated and correct concepts to the students.
  13. Strive continuously to improve teaching and learning through attending PDs and personal researches.
  14. Maintain log book regularly.
